At primary school level, we help bring learning programmes to life in a way that’s accessible, age-appropriate and inspiring. From the creation of a school logo identity to printed resources, we understand how to engage younger children while supporting educators in delivering structured personal development. Our work in this area encourages children to grow in confidence, independence and resilience—laying the foundations for lifelong learning.
Key Projects:
Ashbury Meadow Primary School
Maclaren Jones partnered with the Head Teacher at Ashbury Meadow Primary School to bring her Personal Development Programme to life, supporting pupils across three key age groups: Years 1–2, Years 3–4, and Years 5–6.
As part of the project, we created a refreshed school logo and developed three tailored workbooks designed to support children on their personal development journey.
Growing Potential
The aim of the Personal Development Programme is to nurture independence and encourage pupils to grow into confident, resilient individuals who can positively contribute to society. Each booklet contains a mix of supported and independent tasks, designed to build self-esteem and key life skills. Children were awarded badges of achievement as they completed each stage—celebrating their progress and promoting a strong sense of pride.
Encouraging self-development through real-life experiences and reflection
Recognising that personal growth comes from a variety of experiences—whether through sport, volunteering, or fundraising—the programme embraces learning that happens at school, at home or in the community.
Now fully rolled out across all year groups, the programme has been completed by many pupils and remains a valued part of school life. The booklets have been reprinted several times due to their continued popularity with both students and staff.
